Forest Floor
Ocie Elliott is a singer-songwriter duo comprised of Sierra Lundy and Jon Middleton. Based out of Victoria, Canada, their unique blend of contemporary and indie folk music is influenced by artists such as Gillian Welch, Simon & Garfunkel and Angus and Julia Stone, and born of the natural landscape of Canada’s wild west coast. 'Forest Floor' is about the curious power of attraction; those times when you meet someone, feel a mysterious spark and it seems as though you've known that person all of your lives - It's also about recognizing and giving into this feeling, regardless of societal judgements and despite the fact that it may seem irrational or out of the ordinary. The duo chose the title ‘Forest Floor’ because the notion of instant attraction takes on a more primal quality when it is played out in this environment.
