What an amazing journey through 20 years of running my own label. Release number 71 is a special one. I never thought, I would run my label sooo long. It is a very personal story which brought me so many wonderful moments in life. 20 years has passed since the first net release came out back in 2004. I am super proud and happy you attend the label in your own personal way. No matter if you are a listener since years or stumbled across Klangscheiben right now. Thanks everyone for your very personal support. It is so heart-warming to hear people are celebrating Klangscheiben and its story. This motivates me a lot to continue to publish tasty niche music. The journey began in a small village in Thuringia, Germany, inspired by local Thuringian artists such as Wighnomy Brothers (my thoughts are with Sören’s family and closest friends), Krause Duo and their labels Musik Krause and Freude am Tanzen including all the people involved and of course Fatplastics. But we are also inspired a lot from music coming from all over the world with focus on Montreal based artists and labels or French ones back in the days. Not to forget labels like Perlon, Background and many, many more. We will continue pushing the style from influences from the past 20 years. I could write a super long text about the journey of the past years, maybe at some point I will do this, but for now: Enjoy the collection of music and tell friends about it.
