Long Hard Ride, Marshall Tucker’s 1976 album, came on the heels of their first Top 40 radio hit, "Fire On The Mountain." Striving to build upon this breakthrough, they delivered an album that mixed country, rock and blues into a distinctive whole. A good number of the tunes were radio-friendly numbers that reined in the band’s jamming tendencies. But the individual playing styles that made Marshall Tucker unique clearly shone through, making Long Hard Ride a worthy addition to their catalogue.
