Phillip LaRue is an American singer, songwriter, artist and producer from Nashville, Tennessee. His music is frequently featured in television, films & ads and he also wrote the #1 Billboard song "Whiskey in My Water". Colors was written about falling in love again when you don't expect it. In many ways he wanted to capture sonically the idea of love being a sunrise that you haven’t seen in a while.
