Although previously released by Pye on vinyl, in many ways this album is a lost record and has since disappeared. For those who are not aware, Roy was among the best jazz pianists to come from the UK. An astonishing musician, who became a leading and highly respected film composer during the 70‘s. This album was a return to recording with just his trio and inspired by his love of music written by Stephen Sondheim. It also represents one of the best recordings of Roy and his trio, their performance is truly amazing.
