‘You & I’ is the first EP from Tom Speight following his 2021 album ‘Everything’s Waiting For You’, and this release sees Tom returning to his acoustic roots. Inspired by artists from the golden age of the singer-songwriter; Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon, ‘You & I’ follows in those footsteps conceptually and sonically. Record at Abbey Road Studios, the record is both organic and honest; walking through themes of family and love. ‘Roll The Dice Again’ captures a more vintage, nostalgic simplicity of sound, while title track ‘You & I’ is a quietly powerful musing on the triumph of love. Previously unreleased track ‘One More Time’ was produced at RAK Studios, featuring members of Travis, Tom Odell’s band and Blossoms.
