Championed by Diplo, M.I.A, Santogold and Switch, Buraka Som Sistema's unique sound, a 21st Century electronic take on Angolan Kuduro music has been corrupting dancefloors all over the world. Their electro ghettotech take on their favourite South West African music fuses techno, drum'n'bass, hip hop and dance music, as well as influences from their youth and culture. Buraka Som Sistema formed when Lil John and Riot began working with Angolan producer, Conductor, who brought along an extensive knowledge of Kuduro music to the table. Enter Kalaf, the articulate, stage stalking MC and the core of the equation was complete. Despite having only released one 12-inch, Yah!, in the UK, the band have already received massive attention from critics and DJs alike.
