Broken Glass
"Broken Glass" will be the first compilation released under the Goodwerks banner, a new social impact endeavour for Nettwerk Music Group. Goodwerks is an imprint aimed at nurturing the collective good through music – driving support and attention to causes that are close to the heart of our Nettwerk community (of artists and employees). Our first compilation, out March 8, 2024 will be in support of Reproductive Rights, with proceeds going to indie organization Keep Our Clinics (part of The Abortion Care Network). To celebrate the release (and to continue raising money for the cause) we are programming a night of music, in partnership with School Night, KCRW, and The Abortion Care Network on March 11 @ The Bardot in Los Angeles. ABOUT BROKEN GLASS "Broken Glass" is a compilation that brings together communities of Nettwerk artists of all genre and gender, covering songs from the 90s, originally performed by women. This project is Nettwerk's response to the socio-political environment that we now live in. It is a continuation of the cultural legacy begun with Nettwerk's founding of Lilith Fair in the 90s and launches a new mission that we intend to carry forward. 24 Nettwerk artists have participated in this endeavour. ABOUT KEEP OUR CLINICS The Keep Our Clinics campaign is the Abortion Care Network’s latest effort to protect access to care and support independent clinics across the country. They are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit and your contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Independent community clinics provide the majority of abortion care in the US, but most people don’t know they exist, and they lack the name recognition and funding of larger institutions. ACN provides direct financial support to independent abortion clinics through the Keep Our Clinics campaign – the first and only centralized public fundraising mechanism for independent abortion clinics. This ongoing fundraising initiative provides crucial financial assistance to independent abortion clinics nationwide, enabling them to enhance security, upgrade medical equipment, cover legal expenses related to politically-driven regulations, and manage clinic maintenance and repairs.
