Enei returns to Critical once again with a terrifying pair of sonic monsters brandishing two very different sets of teeth. Immaculately polished, the frantically energetic ’Runner’ pushes the D&B template to the absolute limit; its almost-4/4 groove and 80s sci-fi synth lines relentlessly racing forwards without ever taking a breath. The shamelessly filthy ’Fear Fire’, meanwhile, snaps and snarls as it devours everything in its path, with ferocious, insanity-inducing drops giving way to bone crunching drums and an ultra-distorted, classic early-00s dark D&B bassline.
