Sacha Distel (29 January 1933 – 22 July 2004) was a French singer, guitarist, songwriter and actor who had hits with a cover version of "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" in 1970, which reached No 10 in the UK Charts, "Scoubidou", and "The Good Life". He was made Chevalier (Knight) of the Légion d'honneur in 1997. He had also scored a massive hit as a songwriter when Tony Bennett recorded Sacha's song for The Good Life in 1963. The English version was later on covered by Frank Sinatra amongst many others. 

This new single “Cheek To Cheek” by producer Dean Grant is produced in collaboration with his eldest son Laurent Distel and kindly approved by Prosadis France, the music company started by Sacha Distel himself. The recording is based on a historic recording from 1962. The vocals of Sacha Distel are sampled directly from vinyl, there has been no access to original (source-, studio-) files.

 The song will be promoted in France by the #1 listed media promotion company MMC (https://musicmediaconsulting.net/en/) in Paris as of April 1, 2022, being part of the first EP, of the album currently in production:: "Echoes From Yesterday”. on which famous singers from the French 1950s -and the french language- are being honored by Dean Grant in collaboration with the respective families of the singers. The specific song "Cheek To Cheek" has previously been released, but due to the COVID crisis, all promotion was suspended at the time. It is considered "unreleased" by Records Gramophonique and therefore offered as a new single to the French media from this April 1.
