This release exhibits a new recipe of driving Techno for el gato #9. The ingredients also contain a heavy, dark flavor of rhythmic melodies and sweeping synth pads with a dash of originally recorded field recordings. Within all of these sounds, there is great deal of references to the background cinematic treatments from several dystopian, sci-fi futuristic movies (eg. Blade Runner, Stalker, 1984, Dune...). The dessert portion of this musical feast is a remix provided by Derek Scott aka The Rhythmist. He delivers his signature shuffle-beat style of hardware Techno, as he does best. It is an honor to work with such great talent again. The Rhythmist has released several tracks on "Resource Records" and a track on the SF-based "As You Like It Recordings". Ages ago, he managed an incredible netLabel called "doBox Recordings" which was far ahead of its time, offering free Techno EP downloads from various artists when the digital stores were in their infantile stage. The meaning of the title is from a relatable message most of us have received over time, whether it be from analogue phones, snail mail to emails, cellular/smart phones... On and on, it persists, almost never-ending but changes as time does. This is the style of our track.
