The Skater A song I wrote for my mother on her 85th birthday who was a professional Ice Skater in the Ice- Capades and The Ice&Roller Follies back in the 1950’s and early 1960’s that toured throughout Europe and South America. I tried to create a melody that reflects the turns and directional changes, the flow and ease of motion, and the intimate musical connection skaters have when performing to music, as my mother did beautifully.
