I was feeling like a singing bird when I wrote Passeri. The track was born in a time of pointlessness and lack of inspiration for me. I was contemplating if a bird ever had writer’s block and couldn’t sing for a while? Maybe that helped me to understand that it’s completely fine to have phases like these, where there is no creative output. It was my struggle with the imposed pressure of a society where your value is measured by productivity. But I want to be free instead - after all, that’s why I chose to be a musician. So I stopped pushing blocks in Ableton and went outside to clear my mind. Recording the sound of my steps, the singing birds, the ambient sounds of Berlin. This inspired me to pick up my guitar and play without much thinking. Thank you, Passeri.
