Sopik
Sopik, owner of Finder Records, real name Ihor Sopinskyi, is a DJ, producer, founder and former boxer from Kyiv, Ukraine, known for his dark techno. Ihor started his musical career in 2013. During his childhood, Heyse’s musical influences ranged from Bomfunk Mc’s to Paul Kalkbrenner. This eclectic taste sparked a deep connection to music. The pivotal moment occurred when Heyse listened to Paul Kalkbrenner’s album “Berlin Calling,” leading to the realisation that music is not just a passion but a means to intertwine life with melody. In 2015, he founded the techno and hard techno digital label Finder Records, which debuted with the release of Sandro Galli’s Quantic Space. The label achieved the top position in the Beatport Top 100 Hard Techno Tracks chart. In 2016, he founded the sub-label Black Drop of Finder Records. On the 11th of April, he collaborated with Screamer for the release of the ‘Kiev’ EP on Gain Records. In October, he released the ‘Unknown’ EP on his Finder Records, followed up with his ‘Immigration’ EP in October on Elektrax Recordings and his ‘Awakening’ EP on the 13th of December. On the 16th of January, 2017, he released the ‘Chicago’ EP on Finder Records, followed by the two-track ‘Discotheque’ EP, ‘Dark Water’ EP, released on the 22nd of May and ‘Control’ EP on Elektrax Recordings in June. On the 25th of June 2018, he released the ‘Dark Reality’ EP. In October, he released the ‘Mind’ EP on Solamente Records, followed by ‘Pitch Black’ EP.
