Ludovico Technique is an American Gothic Alternative Metal band from New York City, New York. The band was formed by Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Ben V. Having been featured in Alternative Press, Loudwire, Metal Injection, and Post-Punk, as well as #1 on the international iTunes metal charts, added to multiple Spotify editorial playlists, charting on the DAC (Deutsche Alternative Charts - Germany), appearing on the Knotfest Podcast, being in the top sales on Bandcamp, and breaking 1,000,000 streams on Spotify with a recent release, Ludovico Technique bring a unique depth, complexity, and excitement to the genre of Gothic Alternative Metal. Well known for their attention-grabbing image, dark style of music, and energetic live shows, the band rapidly rose to acclaim following the release of their debut album, “Some Things are Beyond Therapy.” The follow-up album, “We Came to Wreck Everything,” only helped to secure the band’s status. After extensive touring, Ludovico Technique returned in 2017 with Absence and more live events. In 2020/2021 the band released a barrage of new singles (including “Live As Myself,” “Up to the Flames,” “Embrace,” “Becoming Numb,” “Poisoned,” “Burn Everything,” “I Was,” and “Haunted”) which have taken the gothic alternative metal world by storm. Their new album “Haunted People” is slated for release in 2022. When touring, Ben V. typically assembles a live band to perform with him under the Ludovico Technique name. The most recent lineup consists of Evan B., Ben Tourkantonis, and Galen Waling. The band originally drew inspiration from goth industrial acts such as Skinny Puppy and The Sisters of Mercy, yet now, Ludovico Technique have added glimpses of Type O Negative, Rammstein, and Rob Zombie to their unique take on gothic music.
