芬兰乐队，1999年成立，其风格位旋律死亡金属/哥特金属。 Back in 1999, when prolific metal producer TUOMAS SAUKKONEN (Wolfheart, Dawn of Solace, Black Sun Aeon, Routasielu) felt the need to break his routines as a drummer of a small local band, his new metal project BEFORE THE DAWN was born. Soon, the band had gathered a solid fan base across the globe. Although the first decade was characterized by many labels and line up changes, 2010 introduced the strongest line-up ever to be seen on stage and in the studio. The same year also took the band to position #1 of the official Finnish charts and in front of Asian metalheads in China and Japan supporting STRATOVARIUS and TURISAS. Right afterwards BEFORE THE DAWN recorded the DEATHSTAR RISING -album in late 2010. It picked up where they left off with their highly successful 2007 effort DEADLIGHT, delivering melodies and emotions, brutal riffs and devastating intensity. This album marked another important step in the band’s career: After 6th full lengths, numerous tours, festivals and gigs in over 20 countries and several label changes, BEFORE THE DAWN reached a crossroad that lead them under the mighty wings of Nucleart Blast Records in the end of 2010. Suddenly in June 2011 bassist and vocalist LARS EIKIND (Gloria Morti) and drummer ATTE PALOKANGAS (Beast in Black) left the band; Lars for personal reasons and Atte for musical reasons. In 2012 the last album RISE OF THE PHOENIX -album was released. BEFORE THE DAWN was put to rest in 2013.
