Nanga Parbat is a progressive death metal band founded in 2019. The band is named after the mountain of the Himalayan Range, also known locally as "The Killer Mountain" for its high number of fatalities amongst those who tried to ascend it. An immense and tremendous vertical peak rising far above its surroundings. Pivotal role in Nanga Parbat’s topics are the natural forces and animal symbolism as an evolutionary driving force of the earth's will. On this background sets the struggle between humans and the natural world. A harmonious dance of death metal riffs, acoustic-clean arpeggios, odd-meters-progressive bridges and orchestra sections from which extreme voices and ethereal choirs emerge.
