Lara Klart
Lara Klart was born on July 14, 1993 in Ecuador. Her musical beginnings began when she was barely 10 years old. The musical influence that her mother and her sister instilled in her comes from her maternal grandfather, who instilled music in her family. She participated in music contests on national television in her country and she was part of a rock band as a showgirl at age 14. Her musical influences were bolero, tango, rock, pop, hip hop, flamenco and salsa. This made Lara form a unique identity as an artist later. At the age of 16, she discovered electronic music when she began working as a promoter in clubs and music festivals while she was still a minor, but that did not stop her from entering this world that opened up new possibilities for her. In 2014 she moved to Mexico City and decided to take DJ and music production classes, that same year and with very little experience she managed to get a residency as a DJ at the Poe club and that's where she was discovered by one of the festival organizers of Dos Equis Music and they invited her to play at that festival, across 3 cities in Mexico. She released her first song in 2017 called "Liar", followed by "Bipolar" and "My Love". She initially leaned towards House, Deep House and Techouse music due to the electronic musical influence of her generation in her native country. In 2018 she received a message from one of the executives of the Dutch festival “Dreamfields”, inviting her to play at the Mexico edition in front of 30,000 fans. This festival was what put her on the global map, sharing the main stage with Tiesto, Alesso, Oliver Heldens, Vini Vici, Timmy Trumpet, and many more electronic music greats. In the same year, Lara turns to Hard and Melodic Techno, releasing her first album of 8 songs. In 2019 she went on international tour throughout Latin American and Europe, performing in countries such as Chile, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands.
