Saliva
Formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1996, Saliva is a hard rock band that achieved mainstream success in 2001 with their hit single “Your Disease”. The band was founded by lead singer Josey Scott, guitarist Wayne Swinny, bassist Dave Novotny, drummer Paul Crosby and guitarist Jonathan Montoya. Saliva’s career launched in 2001 with the release Every Six Seconds–a certified Double Platinum-selling album, containing the hits, “Click Click Boom” and 2002 Grammy nominated, “Your Disease.” Saliva in-your-face, anthemic writing style continued with a certified Gold-selling album Back Into Your System with hits: “Always,” “Raise Up,” and the Nikki Sixx co-written, “Rest In Pieces.” After Josey Scott quit in 2011, vocalist Bobby Amaru joined the band. Bringing a contemporary feel while staying true to the bands blue collar roots, Amaru has been the Saliva frontman for OVER a decade and the producer of five new records (Rise Up 2013, Love Lies and Therapy 2016, 10 Lives 2018, Every Twenty Years EP 2021, Revelation 2023). Shortly before the release of the most recent album, Saliva guitarist Wayne Swinny passed away unexpectedly. The "Come Back Stronger" video was notably filmed just days before Swinny's death, and was dedicated to the fallen Guitarist . The album went on to be highly acclaimed by critics and the singles “Crows” & “High On Me” charted top 20 on Billboard’s active rock chart. The band continues to honor 'Uncle Wayne' at every show. The loss of a member meant some changes to the line up. 'Wayne was so integral to developing the sound that initially put Saliva and the map. On top of his musical abilities, it was his kind, humble, and down to earth nature that made our fans so loyal. It was important that whoever we chose to fill the role was both a talented musician and able to embrace our fans as well as he did' Saliva乐队又称为口水乐队(saliva意思为口水)。
